On October 20, 2016, Vunder Fund was founded in cooperation with Vunder and Sally Stuudio to support the accessibility to high-quality art education.
Both, Vunder AS and Sally Stuudio are celebrating their 25th year of activity in October this year. Both were born in the entrepreneurial ardour in the year of the restoration of Estonian independence in order to contribute to the development of art and have continuously carried on since then – Sally Stuudio in promoting the art education and Vunder in making available the high-quality art equipment. To celebrate their 25th anniversary, also the Vunder fund was founded together, aiming to support the young art enthusiasts. The grant can be applied for by everyone aged 13 years and up that wish to delve deeper into art and explore the underpinnings of contemporary art, but lack adequate funding.
Anne Vaikjärv, Vunder’s executive director, explains: “If a child really wishes to express oneself through art and it makes that life more meaningful, then it has to be supported, but the outcome, which grows out of this hobby, depends still on the substance, conviction and strong ambition of that person itself.”
Up to 3 grants are provided every year, which cover 50% of the Sally Stuudio art school tuition fee. The grants can be applied for from May to August. First grants are presented in the beginning of September 2017.
Vunder AS is a family-owned enterprise, based on Estonian capital, which wishes to encourage people to express themselves creatively, providing a wide range of art equipment from Europe as well as inspiring workshops. We value development and are open to new ideas.
Sally Stuudio is a non-profit organisation acting in public interests, which aims to contribute to the development of a more considerate and caring society by relying on the capacity of art education to transform the world. Our students will grow into happy, attentive and art-friendly citizens of the world who want and can change our life into better. Sally Stuudio is an opinion leader and an expert also in the neighbouring areas in the issues of integrating the contemporary art and hobby education.
