The soft linocut sheet is an ideal tool to introduce children to the exciting linocut technique, allowing you to take the first steps with ease and safety, while ensuring a high-quality result. It is possible to make a linocut without sharp linocut blades! You can use a pencil that is not too sharp or a stick with a blunt smooth tip to draw your work of art into the foam by pressing it with your hand. If desired, linoleum cutting blades can also be used, which are easier to use on this sheet. Recesses will remain inside the plate that do not deform or change shape. This provides an excellent opportunity to use the sheet in raised printing techniques, just like classic linoleum. If a printing press is not available, the image can also be applied to the paper with an ink roller: cover the sheet with ink (the recessed areas remain untouched by the ink), place a paper on the sheet and roll on the plate with a clean roller. The sheet is thick enough and thin enough to be comfortable to work with. Have fun experimenting together with children or let your own creativity flow!
